Michael Archer has had a diversified career. He holds degrees in Agriculture, Electronics and Engineering Technology. He has worked in the telecommunications, defense, medical equipment, and forensic electronics industries. As such, he understands a broad spectrum of writing related to medical, electronics, computers, and general technical areas of expertise.

In addition, he has written for magazines such as Wildland Firefighter, Rotorcraft Pro, Home & Fire, and the Independent Book Publisher's "Independent" magazine.

When he worked as a Senior Staff Systems Engineer at Motorola, technical documents he created were used at 700 sites in 36 countries and were even requested by field service personnel from Digital Equipment Corporation, Compaq, and Hewlett-Packard for their own products due to the fact that they drilled down to the essential details of how to configure and repair their hardware.

But besides his technical and non-fiction projects, he has also penned two complete novels, giving him a unique perspective on character development, storylines, and other aspects of fiction and public interest pieces.

His work online has included two columns, one for Military.com and another for Firehouse.com, and he publishes a daily newsletter called "Wildfire News Of The Day" which provides the latest international wildfire news six days a week to personnel in organizations including the United Nations' Global Fire Monitoring Network, US Forest Service, CAL FIRE, Los Angeles County Fire Department, and many others.

As a result of this broad range of writing projects, Michael has the ability to take a variety of subjects from the fiction, non-fiction, and technical realms and turn them into succinct, compelling reading.
